WHY HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER?

As Wedding Planners, we also know the best vendors to hire and they can get you great rates. What does a wedding planner do?
As a wedding planner, we are an expert in designing, planning and coordinating your wedding day.
To give you an idea, this is a brief outline of our responsibilities as wedding planners:

I. Ceremony
Inform you of all the necessary documents, timings and processes. Assistance through the process.

II. Venues & Catering
Proposal presentation of the best venues for your wedding, based on your preferences and requirements. Visit the venues. You make the final call!

III. Decoration & Lighting
After selecting the venue, we will send you a large selection of different décor options to help you envision the overall design concept.

IV. Photography & Video
We can recommend the best professionals in the field and book meetings for you to meet them and select your favourite.

V. Entertainment & Music
We can recommend the best musicians, DJ’s, bands and entertainers, and help you set the perfect atmosphere.

VI. Gifts & Stationery
We can suggest gifts for your guests and/or stationery that match the design concept set for your Wedding.

VII. Make-Up & Hair
We work with great make-up artists and hairdressers, so we can recommend the best!

VIII. Accommodation & Transportation
Through our Travel Agency we can take care of all the necessary arrangements relating to accommodation, transfers and leisure activities. We will provide a dedicated reservations line for both you and your guests to take care of everything in a smooth and efficient way.

IX. Pre/Post Wedding Events
If you are considering a pre and/or post-wedding event, we will be pleased to make suggestions.

When is a good time to engage a wedding planner?

Most Brides and Grooms contact us approximately 12-9 months prior to their selected wedding date, however, we offer comprehensive services that can commence at any point prior to your wedding day.

My venue already has an in-house wedding coordinator. Why do I need a planner?
A wedding coordinator at a venue and a wedding planner are two completely different jobs. The venue wedding coordinator is there to serve the venue. Being your planner, our complete focus on you and dedicated to your wedding vision, as we make sure that you vision comes to life on your wedding day.
What types of weddings do you accommodate?
We accommodate all types of weddings including elopements, destination weddings, LGBT weddings/ceremonies, vow renewals, brunches and engagement parties.We cater to all religions.
I’ve already hired all my wedding suppliers. Do I really need a wedding planner?
Many couples hire us purely for the peace of mind it brings. Not having to burden or rely on family and friends is a magical and liberating feeling!
You canengage us at any stage of your wedding planning.
If you have already started planning your wedding and have hired your own vendors, we are happy to work with them.
If you’d like a hand sourcing vendors we can assist with that as well.
Or if you’d like to hire all your own suppliers and hire us just for on the day coordination we have a range of services to assist you with.

We offer a variety of planning services to suit most requirements and budgets.

Do you only work with certain venue and suppliers?
In a nutshell, the answer is no. If you’re interested in a venue that has a preferred supplier in mind then that’s absolutely open to discussion. Remember this is YOUR day, and YOUR decisions.
However, the benefit of using our recommended venues and suppliers is that they’re tried and tested. We know that they’re reliable and recommend them with more confidence than those that we have not used before.
We’re happy to work with new venues and vendors, (as long as you’re comfortable that we have no prior experience with them) unless of course we know of a reason why not to, in which case we would always let you know.
Will I receive a better price for my ceremony and reception decor if I use your décor services?
You may be able to save time and money booking us for your ceremony and reception decor.
DESTINATION WEDDING: How do you plan my destination wedding in a different city/country when you're based in another city?
Our couples come from all over the world.
It’s great for us to meet in person where possible, but if need be we can do everything using phone, email and video-calls. The same concept applies when working with our suppliers and venues, but of course there’s more to it than that. Having the right people around you is essential to successful planning.
We personally visit venues, get to know our recommended suppliers and work closely with partner planners/vendors, so that together we can effectively work to plan and deliver your day, regardless of location.
Where do you plan weddings?
Essentially, after understanding your needs, we do suggest locations. And eventually plan the wedding at your choice of location!
We work with a good network of vendors across different countries.
We are both from different religious backgrounds, how can you organize a secular celebration?
There are several options available to couples. Weddings between religions and cultures is a fast-growing trend which MPWC is highly experienced with.
Will you also organize pre and post wedding celebrations?
Yes! We are happy to handle all of the celebrations surrounding your wedding – before, during and after your wedding day.
How many weddings or events will you coordinate per day?
We only take a limited number of weddings every year – this means that we only do one wedding or event per day per wedding consultant.
Will you be at my wedding?
Of course! Depending on the size and logistics of your wedding ,our team will be present from set up until the point the last supplier is providing their service. After this point we will quietly slip away and leave you to dance ’til your heart’s content!
Do you take over the full control of the entire event?
We take a very collaborative approach to all our events, and we will be guided by you as to how little or much you’d like us to manage the event.
How much do your wedding planning services cost?
We generally charge a management/service fee, which is typically a percentage of the total wedding budget and amount of work required, which is finalised after discussions with you.
A fee schedule will be tailored to your needs prior to signing a contract.
Hiring us does not necessarily cost you more than your planned budget.
Is there a minimum budget that you work with?
No. We plan all kinds of events; from intimate elopements with just the bride and groom, to large parties.
What’s far more important than the budget e’re working th is how realistic it is for your requirements and preferences.
We will always try to ke things cost effective possible for you.
If something isn’t feasible within your preferred price point then we will tell and make alternative suggestions instead that may be more suitable.
Do you charge for an initial consultation?
NO WAY! Our initial consultation is complimentary. This is a chance for us to get know each other to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
What information should I provide the wedding planner with?
During your initial consultation, we suggest providing the following to your planner:
an estimated budget
– an estimated number of guests
– a desired wedding date, month, or season
– a general idea of your wedding style (grand, traditional, modest)
